The Korda Straight Point Barbless Hook is the ethical, barbless version of our highly efficient Straight Point pattern, built as a refined evolution of the popular Wide Gape hook. This hook’s design incorporates an elongated shank, a 15-degree in-turned eye, and its signature feature: a tapered, eye-wateringly sharp, straight point. This combination creates one of the most versatile and effective barbless hooks available. Strength and durability were central to its design; the hook is built with a stepped-up gauge of Japanese steel, giving it the robust power of the other X gauge hooks in our range. It is forged and PTFE coated, ensuring lasting durability and a razor-sharp point straight out of the packet for maximum hooking potential even without a barb. The Straight Point Barbless Hook’s versatility means it excels across all modern barbless carp rigs, whether you are fishing pop-ups on Spinner Rigs or wafters on D-Rigs.
