KORDA LONGSHANK BEAKED BARBED HOOKS

The Korda Longshank Beaked Hook is the culmination of twenty years of refinement on a legendary pattern, originally inspired by classic fly hooks valued for their exceptional shape and hooking ability. Heavily influenced by Danny Fairbrass?s (DF) extensive underwater observations, this ultimate carp catcher has undergone two critical design changes to enhance its performance dramatically.

The first major tweak was the introduction of a beaked point. This design modification was proven during testing to provide significantly more secure hook-holds, thereby increasing the critical hooked-to-landed fish ratio. The second key change was increasing the eye’s in-turn angle from 20 degrees to an aggressive 40 degrees. This steeper angle forces the hook to flip and turn exceptionally quickly in the carp?s mouth, guaranteeing consistently good and deep hook-holds. Keeping the strength of the original, the Longshank Beaked is forged, features a stepped-up wire gauge for immense power, and is finished with a low-glare PTFE coating for durability.
